Reservations, Refunds, and Deposit Policy

Payments & Invoicing:

After making your reservation, you'll receive an invoice with the amount due at drop-off. We prefer cash, but we also have a credit card machine that accepts all forms of debit or credit transactions. (There is a 4% non-cash convenience fee charged by the credit card company.) Please note we are no longer accepting payment by ApplePay, Venmo, CashApp or Zelle.

Deposits and Refund Policy:

All reservations for boarding during holiday weekends require payment in full at the time of reservation or a minimum of 3 nights of boarding whichever is less, as a non-refundable deposit (per dog) to hold your reservation on our calendar.

All other regular overnight boarding reservations require a $30 non-refundable deposit to hold your dog's spot on our calendar. If you need to reschedule, we ask for at least 5 days notice and we'll transfer the deposit with your new reservation. If you cancel or reschedule and do not give us at least 5 days notice, we reserve the right to charge a new $30 non-refundable deposit for the new reservation.

The non-refundable deposit for Board-N-Train is $100 per dog to hold your reservation on our calendar. If you cancel a reservation for board-n-train less than 10 days from your drop-off date, you forfeit the $100 deposit, and your spot will be filled from our waiting list. If you reschedule your board-n-train reservation with at least a 10 day notice to us, we'll transfer your $100 deposit to the new reservation. If you reschedule less than 10 days notice, you'll need to pay another $100 for a new date and the original deposit will be forfeited. We cannot hold a place on our calendar for your dog without the deposit because we generally always have a waiting list for our board-n-train program. During the spring and fall we have people jockeying for spots on our calendar and we cannot afford to have last minute spots not filled on our calendar because someone cancelled at the last minute. Any remaining balances are due at the time of DROP OFF unless prior arrangements have been made. If you miss your drop off appointment for board-n-train, we will add you to a no-show list and your dog will be placed at the bottom of the waiting list for board-n-train. This new policy is in place because we've had too many inconsiderate people put their dog on our calendar and reschedule at the very last minute and this leaves un-fillable gaps in our training schedule. Plan ahead and schedule only when you're ready to have your dog trained. Please be considerate of our time and the way we have to do business because we keep a tight schedule at all times.

If your dog is picked up early, we DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS. We MAY issue full credits or partial credits to be used for a future stay with us which will be determined on a case by case basis. No refunds or credits will be issued for Veteran's Day weekend, Thanksgiving week, Christmas week, New Year's week, MLK Weekend, President's Day weekend, Spring Break week, Easter weekend, Memorial Day weekend, July 4th week, Labor Day weekend, and Fall Break in October, NO EXCEPTIONS.

We reserve the right to make a judgement call on refunds for early pick-ups since the reservation prevented us from booking with another customer for that same time slot. We also reserve the right to refuse service to anyone or to any dog without recourse.

The State of New Mexico has a compulsory possessory law under Statute 48-3-13, 48-3-14, and 48-3-15 that allows us to hold on to a dog for payment for boarding or training services. If the dog is not picked up, and services for boarding not paid in full within 10 days of the scheduled pickup, the dog can be sold for the amount due to clear the entire boarding invoice. Believe it or not, we have had people from out of town bring their dog for boarding or training or both, and did not come get their dog afterward, or waited several additional weeks before picking up their dog, and then were not willing to pay the entire invoice for boarding. This is a rare and unusual situation, but we still felt it warranted mentioning here to reduce any confusion about what will happen if you don't come to pick up your dog in a timely manner. We understand emergencies happen, and we do our very best to accommodate those emergencies, flight delays, and schedule changes. And to our regular customers who are always prompt in dropping off and picking up according to their scheduled time, we give you a big THANK YOU!!
